Music for Multimedia Needs

Bio

Classically trained as a composer, Kevin holds a MM in Music Composition from the University of Rhode Island where he studied under the tutelage of contemporary French composer Dr. Eliane Aberdam. While attending URI he primarily composed for smaller and medium sized chamber ensembles and solo instruments. Some aspects of his style have been likened to Michael Nyman and Arvo Pärt with a tunefulness and classical sense of orchestration that is at times reminiscent of Jerry Goldsmith. His compositions showcase a vivid understanding of harmony and orchestration combined with the instincts of a seasoned musician that’s played in rhythm and blues, jazz, and rock outfits for decades. Perhaps more importantly, Kevin’s music reflects a keen understanding of the complexities of human emotion and invokes an element of storytelling necessary to drive a scene. He frequently makes use of textures and instruments specifically combined with the intent to draw the viewer into the world onscreen. He has scored films and has also had music licensed for placement on cable television networks (BET, History, Discovery).

Collaborate

A study published in 2023 found that social media reels synced to music had 7 times the viewer interactions and 55 percent higher reach than reels whose audio content consists of sound effects or other natural, non-musical sounds. Now instead, imagine your multimedia campaign, one of your largest immediate investments of company resources, accompanied not by generic library piano tracks randomly picked by an a/v professional; but instead a canvas of sound, specifically tailored to your brand and the world you want to draw your viewer into with your multimedia campaign. A canvas provided by a trained, professional composer customized specifically for your project’s needs. If that’s the level of engagement from your potential audience that you’re looking for, send me a message and let’s schedule a free consultation to talk about how I might align my skill sets with your vision for maximum impact.

Are you a filmmaker currently putting together a documentary or feature film? Music is CRUCIAL. Don’t sleep on the incredible contribution that having the right composer on your team can make. Appropriate music will pull your viewers in IMMEDIATELY. Contrarily though, while a mishmash of stock cues can fill in the blanks with some good music here and there, the production quality can often sound disjunct, thereby disrupting the visual continuity you’ve worked so very hard to achieve. Make sure you entrust the artistry of the music to a composer who has the capability, professional expertise, and commitment to excellence needed to customize a score based on the specific requirements of your project and its optimal realization. I’ll work tirelessly to make every frame perfect. Let’s talk about how.
